In 1959, Nick Bollettieri opened the first full-service sports academy in the world in Bradenton, Florida. That academy — today known as IMG Sports Academy — produced ten world No. 1 players and redefined how champions are developed. The blueprint he built is the same blueprint we run TTC on today.
Out of Bollettieri's academy came a generation of champions who redefined both sports: Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Monica Seles, Marcelo Ríos, Maria Sharapova, Martina Hingis, Jelena Janković, and Anna Kournikova.
That level of performance is not accidental. It is the product of 30, 40, even 60 years of operational discipline — the same discipline our founder, Sean Bollettieri, has carried through 35 years in the racket sports space.

Sean opens the first full-service boarding tennis academy on the West Coast. At its peak, the program accounts for roughly 70% of all ranked junior players in California — a footprint no other program has matched since.
Creation of the most comprehensive youth academy in Irvine, California at the Racquet Club of Irvine. Countless Division I scholarship athletes — and top ATP pros — come out of the program.
Acquisition of The Tennis Club at Newport Beach. A ghost-town facility is rebuilt into the first pickleball private club in the world and the most prominent tennis-and-pickleball venue in the country.
The model expands. The Newporter opens in Newport Beach with golf and pickleball. The famed Vic Braden Tennis College in Costa Mesa is reborn as TTC Coto Pickleball and Tennis Club. TTC Palms at Shadow Mountain brings tennis, pickleball, padel, and California poolside to Palm Desert. Hundreds of racket-sport businesses — consumer products, technology, clubs — receive TTC mentorship along the way.
